Artist of the Year Awards

Pollyanna is honoured to have scooped a coveted first prize
in the prestigious Wildlife Artist of the Year awards. Pollyanna's
painting 'Golden October' took the first prize in the Birds
category. This stunning piece of work is painted in gouache
on canvas, and concentrates on the almost abstract beauty of
the shapes and colour of autumn leaves with the contrast of
the bold dark lines of the branches and the shape of finely
painted blackbird.
A reproduction of the winning painting was exhibited ed on
the 'Wildscape' stand at the Artists and Illustrators exhibition
at the Business Design Centre in London. An touring exhibition
of all the prize-winning originals will shortly be announced.
The painting was also displayed in Pollyanna's Christmas exhibition
in her own gallery in Derbyshire, and is included a portfolio
of thirty paintings in her book 'A Brush with Wildife'
Pollyanna is very pleased to have had her work recognised by
the judging panel of these awards, and is looking forward to
attending the award presentation ceremony in Summer
