Wildlife
Art Society International Exhibition

In her role as patron, Pollyanna was pleased to attend the
opening of the wildlife art society’s annual exhibition.
She is pictured (centre) at the event with Michael Howard MP
and his wife Sandra.
The former home secretary and leader of the conservative party
performed the oficial opening ceremony at the annual exhibition
which ran during October at Port Lympne, Hythe, Kent, showcasing
the cream of wildlife art from around the world. The venue is
one of the finest Edwardian houses in Southern England, which
is also a world centre for gorilla conservation.
The Wildlife Art Society was founded in 1992 with the purpose
of promoting a greater appreciation of the wildlife art genre,
the animals, plants and wild places which provide the stimulus
and inspiration for all such work. The Society acts as a forum
for wildlife artists, providing opportunities for them to share
their common interests and raise their individual profiles through
Society exhibitions and other events. The Society also focuses
members' attention on the activities in the national and international
wildlife art arena.
Pollyanna is looking forward to including original work in
the society’s next exhibition to be staged at nature in
Art in Gloucester during February 2007.
