Blush Ball

In her role as a guardian of the charity, Pollyanna was pleased to join a host of glittering stars who attended Breast Cancer Haven’s 2008 Blush Ball at the Natural History Museum in London.

During the evening, which was hosted by Newsreader Katie Derham (above right with Pollyanna), guests were entertained by ballerina Darcey Bussell CBE and Gary Avis who gave a spectacular performance from their hit show Viva la Diva.

Over 300 society, celebrity and corporate supporters including TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp, actress Amanda Mealing, Blue peter presenters Tim Vincent and Diane Louise Jordan, Coronation Street actress Zaraah Abrahams, Vanessa Feltz and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, attended the ball in the awe-inspiring dinosaur gallery of the museum.

The event raised tens of thousands of pounds for Breast Cancer Haven and there was competitive bidding for the auction prizes which included an opportunity to sing with Bryan Adams on stage at his next concert and a holiday to Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve.

The Blush Ball raised substantial funds to help Breast Cancer Haven continue its invaluable work offering free support, information and complementary therapies to anyone affected by breast cancer. It will also help them open their third Haven in Leeds in October 2008.
