On 13th November Pollyanna was one of the first recipients of
a new excellence award from Derbyshire County Council, for her
‘outstanding personal achievement’ which has helped
to put Derbyshire on the map.

Challenge
Pollyanna is very pleased to have won the first 'Masterclass

Sept 07 - The Crystal Ball
Pollyanna was very pleased to be invited to help the Children
with Aids charity celebrate their 15th (crystal) anniversary
at a Crystal Ball at The Dorchester Hotel, London on 29 September.
Sept 07 -First Joint exhibition for
Pollyanna and Anna-Louise
In November 2007 Pollyanna and her daughter and business partner
Anna-Louise, an accomplished wildlife photographer, were invited
to take part in their first ever joint exhibition at the Beetroot
Tree Gallery in Draycott.
Sept 07 - Pollyanna Illustrates Harry
Potter story....
……..But not that one!! In fact one of Pollyanna’s
paintings of a hamster was used in the current My Weekly Summer
special to illustrate the charming story ‘Just Wizard’
about a hamster named Harry Potter!
Aug 07 - Leslie Grantham draws winning Ticket
The winning ticket in the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation prize
draw was drawn in August by actor Leslie Grantham, best known
for his iconic role as 'Dirty Den' in Eastenders.
Aug 07 - Pollyanna visits rescued Lions
at Shamwari
Pollyanna returned from a trip to South Africa, where she was
delighted to have the opportunity to visit the Born Free Foundation's
santuary at Shamwari.

In her role as a guardian of Breast Cancer Haven,
Pollyanna was delighted to one again attend their major annual
event, the Blush Ball, held in the Natural History Museum in
London.

for Eye of the Tiger
We are pleased to announce that actress and conservationist
Virginia McKenna, founder of The Born Free Foundation, has written
the foreword to Pollyanna's forthcoming book ‘The
Eye of the Tiger’.
Mar 07 - Nature's Calendar
An edition of Nature's Calendar featuring Pollyanna sketching
red deer live for the cameras was broadcast on BBC2 on Friday
2nd March 2007.
Feb 07 - Pollyanna to Undertake WNAG flag
expedition
Pollyanna is delighted to announce that she has been granted
a fellowship from Canada based society The Worldwide Nature
Artists Group in support of her next expedition into the Himalayan
Kingdom of Bhutan. Pollyanna is the first woman ever to be granted
a fellowship by the group – and the first artist to be
selected from outside Canada or North America.
Jan 07 - Magnus Magnussson 1929 - 2007
Pollyanna was very saddened to hear of the recent death of
Magnus Magnusson. The RSPB commissioned Pollyanna to paint an
original work to be presented to Magnus to celebrate their centenary
year in 1989.
Nov 06 - DTI Award
Pollyanna's daughter and business partner Anna-Louise has been
honoured with the Department of Trade and Investment's Women
in Business Achievement Award.
Oct 06 - Wildilfe Art Society International

In her role as patron, Pollyanna was pleased to attend the
opening of the wildlife art society’s annual exhibition.
Sept 06 - New Owl Stamps issued in Africa
Pollyanna is delighted that twelve of her paintings of owls
have been selected by The Democratic Republic of the Congo to
appear on one of their latest stamp issues.

Jun 06 David Shepherd Birthday Celebrations
Pollyanna was delighted to be invited to join fellow wildlife

May 06 - Harrods Bear - 21st Anniversary
Following the immense popularity of her designs for a range
of gift ware to celebrate the 20th Anniversary bear, Harrods
has once again commissioned Pollyanna to paint this year's bear
'Alexander', for the 21st anniversary series of collectables.

Badger Trust
Pollyanna has become the first patron
of a national charity which promotes the conservation, welfare
and protection of badgers, their setts and habitats.

Breast Cancer Haven
Pollyanna is pleased to have accepted the post of Guardian to
this charity which offers support to women who have been diagnosed
with breast cancer.

Pollyanna has given her name to to a £35m restoration
plan for the Derby and Sandiacre canal. Three of her paintings
have been reproduced as collectors prints - and the society
hopes to raise £50,000 through the work.
Dec 00 - Pollyanna awarded Millenium Trophy
