Details : The Packington and Normanton Church Ladies Group invite everyone to join them at their annual charity evening – which this year is being held in support of The Pollyanna Pickering Foundation
For almost 30 years Anna-Louise worked alongside Pollyanna. However in her early twenties before joining the business, she had quite a glamorous job working in the theatre in London – and in those days the great outdoors was pretty much the gap between the tube station & Harvey Nichols. So how did Pollyanna persuade her daughter to swap her London flat for working trips that would involve accommodation in shacks with no electricity and an ensuite hole in the ground?
Well what other job would give her the chance to bottle feed a baby tiger – or to ride an elephant bare back through the jungles – or to sit side by side with a wild gorilla? In this light hearted talk Anna-Louise will share some of her photos and experiences of travelling with a wildlife artist from her perspective!
