Pollyanna created a beautiful private gallery at her home in the Derbyshire Dales to exhibit her artwork before it went on display in any other location.

Her daughter and business Anna-Louise, President of The Pollyanna Pickering Foundation, continues to open this very special venue twice a year for unique exhibitions which allow visitors to enjoy Pollyanna’s paintings in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

These events showcase previously unseen original work, alongside earlier pieces which have been bequeathed or donated to the Foundation. Anna-Louise has also released a selection of reference sketches from Pollyanna’s private collection to include in the events.

Each exhibition has a completely unique theme – at the Summer event in June it features paintings of exotic and endangered species, while the November exhibition is centred around Pollyanna’s beloved British Wildlife.

  • For full details of the next exhibition please visit our Events page.

Anna-Louise will be present in the gallery throughout each exhibition and is pleased to chat to visitors about Pollyanna’s work and also sign copies of the five acclaimed books which feature her writing and photography alongside Pollyanna’s artwork. A selection of the award winning photographs she took on their journeys are also included in some events.

There is much more to see in addition to the original paintings :

There are two further rooms crammed with the latest editions of Pollyanna’s extensive ranges of greetings cards, fine art and limited edition prints, and a wide variety of gift ware featuring her work – including stationery, china mugs, cross stitch kits, signed sets of her postage stamps, and first day covers for the Royal Mail. Paper crafting kits are also be available – as launched live on television!

Pollyanna’s latest fine art calendars are available at the gallery, and at the November event there are over 250 Christmas card designs to choose from – including many which raise funds for charities including the RSPB, Marie Curie The Born Free Foundation and Guide Dogs for the Blind among many other associations.

A minimum of  10% of all sales are donated to wildlife and conservation projects through the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation.

The gallery is open 10 am – 6 pm during Exhibitions. Admission is free.  Outside exhibitions is strictly by appointment only.

Tea and coffee are available throughout.  During Summer events visitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in Pollyanna’s garden.
