Talk : Spirit of the Jaguar

In 2017 Pollyanna fulfilled a long held dream – to visit the Pantanal area of Brazil, to search for jaguars. Anna-Louise is delighted to have been invited to the Spilsby Area Group of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust to give this brand new talk about their expedition into the little known Pantanal region of Brazil, where she travelled alongside Pollyanna braving extremes of heat and humidity, plagues of mosquitoes and crocodile infested rivers as they gathered photos, sketches and inspiration.

The duo were rewarded with over twenty sightings of the beautiful and powerful jaguar, the largest of South America’s big cats.   Pollyanna also spent several hours watching a female jaguar with a cub, and was able to sketch a wealth of other wildlife found in the region.

All welcome – you do not need to be a member to join this meeting. Light refreshments available at the evening meetings. There is no charge but voluntary donations received with thanks.
