Details: We are proud to present an exhibition of artwork by Pollyanna celebrating her love of British Wildlfe and her home county of Derbyshire.
We are proud to present an exhibition of artwork by Pollyanna in her private gallery. Driven by the beauty and intricacy of the wilderness, she was renowned for her travels into some of the most remote and inhospitable parts of the world, where she studied and painted endangered species in their increasingly fragile habitats. However Pollyanna often said that she could find enough inspiration within a few miles of her home in the Derbyshire Dales to paint forever!
Every winter Pollyanna opened her private gallery for an exhibition inspired by her love of British Wildlife. This year we will be staging an exhibition in celebration of her love of the Dales, Peaks, and wildlife of her beloved home county. Visitors can view over fifty original paintings, many on display to the public for the very first time, in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
The exhibition will include a rare selection of landscapes alongside the paintings of birds and animals for which Pollyanna was so renowned. Many of her subjects were cared for in the wildlife sanctuary which she ran from her home for 15 years. This close contact with the creatures in her care is reflected in the realism and vitality of her unique artwork.
Visitors will also be able to browse at leisure through the latest additions to Pollyanna’s extensive ranges of greetings cards, fine art and limited edition prints, and a wide variety of gift ware featuring her work – including stationery, jigsaws, tea sets, china mugs, linen ware, cross stitch kits, signed sets of her postage stamps issued internationally, and first day covers for the Royal Mail alongside an exclusive display of gift ware commissioned by Harrods. All of her exquisitely illustrated books will be available, as well as the latest brand new card and paper crafting kits and printable DVDroms – as launched live on television in a series of regular and popular programmes featuring Anna-Louise live in the studio on the Hobbymaker TV channel!
There will be over 150 Christmas card designs to choose from, including the latest charity cards featuring designs by Pollyanna for the RSPB, Guide dogs for the Blind, The Born Free Foundation, Blue Cross, The Dogs Trust and Marie Curie among many others. New fine art calendars of her work will be available for 2026, along with a range of eco-friendly wrapping paper and cards, and even a brand new series of Christmas decorations featuring Pollyanna’s images!
Pollyanna’s daughter and business partner Anna-Louise will be on hand throughout and will be pleased to chat to visitors about her work and the wildlife which inspired her. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout, and visitors are welcome to enjoy Pollyanna’s unique gardens.
Two new limited edition prints will be launched at the exhibition. Also on display throughout will be Pollyanna’s extensive ranges of books, greetings cards, fine art and limited edition prints, and a wide variety of gift ware featuring her work, including brand new card crafting kits as launched live on television! A sneak preview of next year’s charity Christmas cards will also be available. Pollyanna’s daughter Anna-Louise will be in the gallery throughout the exhibition and will be happy to chat to visitors about the artwork, and the inspiration found on their expeditions.
A minimum of 10% of all sales are donated to wildlife and conservation projects through the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation.
The gallery is open 10 am – 6 pm during Exhibitions. Admission is free. Outside exhibitions visits are strictly by appointment only.
