An Absolutely Fabulous Winner!

Celebrated actress and national treasure Dame Joanna Lumley joined Anna-Louise  to select the lucky winners of our first 2025 prize draw – J & J Graves of Chesterfield, who have won a hand embellished picture of a snow leopard cub.

Joanna’s  versatility is nothing short of remarkable. A bona fide veteran of the arts, with BAFTA wins and a Damehood to her name, she was born in Kashmir, India coming to the UK to be educated.  She attended the Lucie Clayton Finishing School in London, which became Britain’s top modelling agency and spent three years as a photographic model before her breakout role as an actress – Purdy in The New Avengers. Almost two decades later, she played the iconic Patsy Stone in the beloved sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. Joanna has also become synonymous with travel shows, having fronted series that explore the wonder of places such as Japan, India, and the Caribbean.

Famed for her acting, behind the scenes Joanna works closely with countless charities opposed to the exploitation of animals and is a proud advocate and human rights activist for numerous organisations including Survival International, the Gurkha Justice Campaign, Compassion in World Farming and of course the Born Free Foundation, where she is acts a patron, alongside both Pollyanna and Anna-Louise..

Joanna was happy to give her time to help with the Foundation’s appeal saying    “The world belongs to all living things, and we must speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

Sales of Prize Draw tickets contributed to the £4,000.00 raised for the Orang-utan project appeal.
