Anthea Turner Picks the Winner!

Much loved TV personality Anthea Turner joined Anna-Louise, President of The Pollyanna Pickering Foundation, to draw the winning ticket in our Winter prize draw.

Anthea is a well-known TV personality who has been in the spotlight for over 30 years. She is best known for presenting shows such as Blue Peter, GMTV and The National Lottery, and she regularly makes guest appearances on Lorraine, Jeremy Vine, and This Morning. Anthea is also a great animal lover, and is devoted to her French Bulldog Soho.

 And 20 years after her creative Blue Peter days, Anthea also joined Pollyanna as a regular guest on Create and Craft TV. She acted as the channel’s ambassador and fronted its Get Britain Crafting Campaign, encouraging people to discover the joy of crafting with kits including those featuring Pollyanna’s iconic artwork.

 

Anna-Louise said “Anthea was so very happy to be invited to select our winner this year – and we very much appreciated her taking the time out of her always busy schedule.”

Between the sales of prize draw tickets, donations and a percentage of sales from the Celebration of Scotland exhibition held in Pollyanna’s private gallery in November last year the Foundation has been able to donate  £5,000.00 to help The Wildlife Aid Foundation to construct a new hospital.  For over 40 years, Wildlife Aid has been one of the UK’s busiest wildlife rescue centres, responding to over 20,000 wildlife emergencies each year.
