Gifted and Talented!

Pollyanna’s daughter and business partner Anna-Louise is an accomplished writer who is also a frequent contributor of articles to magazines and newspapers. However she has just appeared for the very first time as a character in a novel!

Best-selling author Wendy Holden was inspired by Anna-Louise’s exploits photographing endangered species around the world to create the character ‘Anna-Lou’, a wildlife photographer, who helps to save the day in her latest book, the fabulously titled ‘Gifted and Talented’.

The character is introduced in the book in the following way –

“Who’s Anna-Lou? Olly was about to ask, when the door of the office opened and a woman came in. A very good looking woman Olly noted, scrabbling desperately to cover his boxer shorts. She stood a good 6 feet in heels, with high cheekbones and blond hair that swished about her waist. ‘Hi’ said the blonde vision striding towards Olly with a hand outstretched. “I’m Anna-Lou………”

Anna-Louise has already decided she far prefers the fictional version of herself to the reality!!
Wendy describes the book as “having lots of laughs, but some shadows too. And romance, above all; my Heathcliff-like Master of the College is brooding, handsome – and admittedly unlike any Master I ever met. But this is fiction! Excitingly, Gifted & Talented is to be the first of a series, a new departure for me as a writer.”

Wendy has already started the next novel, set at a summer festival – with the working title of ‘Carry On Glamping’ – and the fictional Anna-Lou is set to make her return in the pages!
