In Memory of Richard Bonfield
We were very sorry to hear the sad news of the death last month of the former Born Free Foundation poet in residence Richard Bonfield.
Pollyanna collaborated with Richard on the acclaimed book Wildness – a collection of his poems and her artwork. They are pictured above at the launch event held in Pollyanna’s gallery along with Born Free Founder Virginia McKenna (left). Pollyanna also painted the cover image for Richards anthology of poems ‘Animated Nature’.
Anna-Louise paid tribute saying “Richard was such a gentle soul, and of course an extremely talented poet. Pollyanna so enjoyed collaborating with him on the ‘Wildness’ book and we had such a wonderful launch day at the gallery, blessed with good weather and appreciative guests. His love for animals and the natural world will live on through his poetry.”
