Lifetime Achievement Award for Pollyanna

Pollyanna has been recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Radio Station Peak FM, at their annual gala dinner.Passionate about wildlife and equally passionate about accurately interpreting her subjects, Pollyanna has dedicated her life to not just wildlife art, but also environmental conservation, both on the national and international stage.

Pollyanna was incredibly honoured to be presented with the Award in recognition of her work in both Art and Conservation. She is shown here with her award, and event hosts Stu & Cat from the Peak FM breakfast show.

“I was amazed to be invited on to the stage to collect this award at the end of the evening” Pollyanna said “The stories of so many of the winners of Local Hero awards were so moving and inspiring – and I feel so fortunate to be recognised for doing the work I love and am passionate about.”

Twelve months ago, she also received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Inspirational Women Awards. However she identifies with fashion designer Ralph Lauren, who on receiving a similar award recently for his work in fashion expressed his amazement saying “I still feel 22 – and am incredibly excited about what the future holds” – a sentiment thoroughly echoed by Pollyanna!

Pollyanna was nominated for the award by her daughter and business partner Anna-Louise, who can be seen below in a still from a short film she made at the Peak Studios outlining the reasons for the nomination. After going up on stage to receive her glass trophy, Pollyanna was surprised when one of the event organisers came rushing up to her red-faced – due to a mix-up at the engravers Anna-Louise’s name had been put on to the trophy in error! Peak FM have promised that a correctly engraved trophy will be sent in due course….

And in the meantime Anna-Louise is delighted with her lifetime achievement award……!

Pollyanna’s trophy will join an array of over thirty awards which have been bestowed in recognition of her work – including the most prestigious international award in the field of wildlife art – The Artists for Conservation’s Simon Combes Award for Conservation through Artistic Excellence.
