Pollyanna Television shows to be on Hobbymaker Channel
We are very excited to announce that the hugely popular Pollyanna Pickering Crafting TV shows will have a new home in 2023! The first show, scheduled for 26th February will feature a brand new collection of images of baby animals from exotic and endangered species representing this exciting new venture.
Craft expert and popular demonstrator Lynda Chapman will be joined in the television studios by Anna-Louise for a series of shows to launch a brand new range of digital craft products featuring Pollyanna’s artwork. The new shows will be on the UK’s newest and fasted growing Craft Channel Hobbymaker. The channel started in 2022 partnering with the top industry experts in the crafting world. It was established by employee-owned company Gemporia Partnership which owns a number of highly popular home shopping channels including Jewellery Maker, Sewing Street and Gem Collector and has an industry wide reputation for delivering engaging and exciting shows. The channel is rapidly becoming recognised as the premiere destination to showcase the very best of paper craft creativity. They broadcast live TV shows which include informative and inspirational demonstrations covering mixed media, arts, needlecraft, papercraft and so much more.
Anna-Louise said: “We are so thrilled to be joining HobbyMaker. They are so enthusiastic about bringing Pollyanna’s artwork to the channel, for the huge number of crafters who get so much enjoyment and inspiration from working with her incredible images. We also have some wonderful ideas for encouraging even more people to try paper craft for the first time. I am really looking forward to being joined by some familiar friends as well as some new faces on the channel, and introducing Pollyanna’s work to a whole new audience as well.”
Anna-Louise has also been invited to showcase the critically acclaimed books on which she collaborated with Pollyanna, on the live shows. During the first show there will be the opportunity to purchase the book The Eye of The Tiger while the programme is on air. The book is the beautifully illustrated story of two expeditions to India recounting the unique experiences of Pollyanna and Anna-Louise – working with project tiger rangers; being given an orphan sloth bear as a birthday gift; facing a charging tiger and living to tell the tale. At the heart of this absorbing travel journal written by Anna-Louise is the tiger and the heroic efforts of all those who strive to ensure its survival in the wild. The book is lavishly illustrated throughout with Pollyanna’s sketches, and Anna-Louise’s photographs, and features 20 superb colour plates selected from the paintings completed by Pollyanna following her journeys.
