Pollyanna was inspired to create this beautiful hand drawn map of Africa by her many expeditions to the continent – and her love of the wildlife she sketched and painted during her safaris.
Pollyanna’s first journey to Africa took her to Kenya’s Masai Mara in 1986. In the following decades she not only made return journeys to Kenya, but also travelled into Namibia, South Africa, and Rwanda where she trekked into the Virunga mountains to sketch wild gorillas.
She journeyed to Ethiopia to become the only wildlife artist every to sketch and paint the highly endangered Ethiopian Wolf from life – there are none in captivity anywhere in the wild.
